Local-first parking and EV cost timer

Chrono.P Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 14, 2026

Overview

Chrono.P is a parking and EV charging cost timer. It helps users record parking details, estimate parking and charging costs, and receive time-based reminders.

The core timer and OCR features are local-first. Optional rewarded advertising and purchase verification use the service providers described below.

Local App Data

Camera and OCR

Chrono.P may request camera access when you choose to take a photo of a parking spot or parking pillar.

Photos are used locally on the device for OCR recognition. OCR results are used only to fill the parking spot or parking pillar fields inside the app.

Temporary OCR image files are cleared after processing. The app also provides a manual clear function for OCR-related temporary data.

Notifications and Alarms

Chrono.P may request notification permission to remind users before the next parking billing period.

Notification sound, vibration, lock-screen display, and delivery behavior depend on the user's device settings, notification settings, silent mode, Do Not Disturb mode, and battery settings.

Purchases

Chrono.P offers an optional one-time permanent unlock through Google Play. Google Play processes the transaction, and RevenueCat validates the purchase and entitlement.

Purchase history and an app-specific customer identifier are processed for app functionality and purchase analytics. Purchase data is encrypted in transit. Chrono.P stores the resulting access status locally.

Rewarded Advertising and Consent

Users may voluntarily watch a rewarded ad after completing a session to receive additional uses. Chrono.P does not display ads during app startup or active timing.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP address, app interactions such as launches, taps and video views, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. IP address may be used to estimate general location. This data is encrypted in transit.

Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for consent before an ad request and provides privacy controls. Available ads and the data used may vary according to the user's choice, region, device settings, and Google's limited-ads rules.

Data Sharing

Data Retention and Deletion

Parking timer information, OCR text, billing settings, and unlock status are stored locally on the user's device.

Users can clear local OCR data in the app. Users can also delete app data through Android system settings or uninstall the app to remove locally stored data.

Google and RevenueCat retain advertising and purchase records under their own policies and legal obligations. Users may contact the developer through the Google Play support address to request deletion of the RevenueCat customer record associated with the app. Google Play transaction records may remain where required for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Privacy Choices

When required by the user's region, Chrono.P provides an in-app Ad Privacy Options control for reviewing or changing advertising consent. Android also provides controls to reset or delete the advertising ID.

See the Google Privacy Policy and the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for provider-specific details.
